The Visiting Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the management of the visitors' clubhouse for the 2023 season.

This position is seasonal and will run from April 2023, through the middle of September 2023. The Visiting Clubhouse Manager is required to work all Brooklyn Cyclones home games. This position consists of non-traditional work hours including late nights, weekends and some holidays .

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a safe, clean and professional clubhouse
• Assist in loading/ unloading visiting team buses for team arrivals and departures
• Visiting team laundry
• Keep clubhouse snacks/beverages stocked
• Assist and coordinate pre and post-game meals delivery and set-up

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is ($16 - $17 per hour).

This is a seasonal paid position providing hands-on experience in a professional, fast-paced and high-energy baseball setting. The ideal candidate is a current college student or recent graduate who possess excellent communication and organizational skills, takes initiative, is reliable, trustworthy, brings a positive attitude to the workplace, understands the importance of teamwork, is comfortable with moderate physical labor ie: lifting boxes, setting up gates, etc. and is confident interacting with all levels within the organization as well as fans. Requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Setup (and breakdown) all game-day necessities and ensure the stadium is ready for fans to enjoy. Setup needs include, but are not limited to; front gates, tables on the concourse, the backyard area, speed pitch, prize wheel, Puzzle Piece Playhouse (Autism friendly suite), etc.
• Assist promotions team with daily promo setup (and potential distribution), whether it be at front gates, back gates or the concourse level
• Operate concourse games and needs, including, but not limited to; speed pitch, prize wheel, raffle table and provide excellent customer service when interacting with fans
• Retrieve all necessary banks from the Ticket Office Manager prior to each game and return banks with a correct monetary amount at the end of each game
• Mascot handler during games for Sandy & Pee Wee (Cyclones mascots)
• Assist as a liaison for fans, special guests and Puzzle Piece families
• Assist promotions team with on-field contests when needed
• Availability to assist with non-baseball related outside events
• Other duties as assigned

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is ($15 - $16 per hour).

Essential job functions:

• Break down of batting practice: removing screens and picking up hitting mats.
• Rake dirt out of the cutouts and base paths, for a smooth surface.
• Layout chalk lines for the batter’s box
• Repack mound and plate after the game.
• Use a backpack blowing or brooming edges.
• Tarping during and after the game.
• Help to maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance shop.

Qualifications:·

• Previous landscaping experience a plus, however, we will train
• A good disposition with the willingness to work on a team
• Reliability and dependability
• Able to work non-traditional hours including but not limited to nights and weekends.
• It is necessary to be able to carry up to and over 50 pounds for this position.
