One of the ballpark's signature nights! Star Wars Night XIV, presented by Alfred State College, is Saturday, June 3 as the Herd takes on the St. Paul Saints with a 6:05 p.m. first pitch.
This night is a must-attend for both baseball and Star Wars fans! Even before the Bisons take the field, fans rush to Sahlen Field to enjoy Fan Costumer Appearances throughout the ballpark's concourse starting when ballpark gates open (SPECIAL TIME OF 4 PM). There are also Laser Sword sales to benefit the Compass House as well as Game-Worn and Autographed Jersey Auctions (concluded) and Jersey Raffles (at the event). This year, the Bisons players are wearing custom-made Ewok Jerseys as we pay tribute to our favorite little furry bipeds that saved the day in Return of the Jedi.
Of course, the night doesn't end until a thrilling Postgame Show that includes Fireworks!

2023 Design - Ewok Jerseys!
Each year, the Bisons debut a brand new custom Star Wars Night jersey. In 2023, the team will wear Ewok Jerseys as they face the St. Paul Saints on June 3.
Here's to our favorite little furry bipeds who finally get their day of recognition! Without the big-time contribution by these little giants, the Empire may have been able to complete their second death star project. But armed with their spears, slingshots, gliders and rocks... lots of rocks... the Ewok forces were able to distract the Empire's troopers long enough for the shield generator to be destroyed. The custom-made Ewok Jersey depicts this diminutive heroes emerging from their forest dwellings ready for battle.
As is customary, the jerseys will be worn by the Bisons players during the game and then autographed by the players. Several of the jersey will be auctioned off before the event with others as part of a in-game raffle on Star Wars Night June 3rd, with proceeds to benefit Compass House.
Wearing Costumes
We love to see fans get into the spirit of Star Wars night by wearing their favorite t-shirts, hoodies, past jerseys, etc. But please note, ONLY official Lucas Films certified Fan Costumers are allowed to be in full costume.
Fans of all ages with full masks or props guns will not be allowed into Sahlen Field. Plastic laser swords and lightsabers will be allowed in.
Compass House is a not-for-profit agency offering safe shelter and services for runaway and homeless youth in Western New York. Founded in 1972, they have a decades-long track record of advocacy in WNY and remain the only shelter and resource center for both male and female runaway and homeless youth ages 12-24 in Erie County.

An amazing crowd of 15,490 filled Sahlen Field on Star Wars Night 2022 to enjoy a fun-filled night at the ballpark, presented by Alfred State College. The Bisons won 4-1, the fireworks were fantastic and the fan costumers from The North Ridge were out in full force!
