Summary

The Harrisburg Senators were walked off for the third time on the road trip Friday night in their 3-2 loss to Bowie in ten innings at Prince George’s Stadium. The Senators scored single runs in the first two innings to take a 2-0 lead. However, Bowie responded with solo home runs in the third and eighth innings, both with two outs, before winning the game with a single in the bottom of the tenth inning.

The Big Play

In the top of the tenth inning with the scored tied 2-2, the Senators had Jackson Cluff placed at second base with Robert Hassell III at bat leading the inning off. He walked and JT Arruda followed with a sacrifice bunt. The next two batters both struck out with runners at second and third. Bowie would go on to score their placed runner to walk off the Senators.

On Capitol Hill

  • Mitchell Parker started and went the first four innings. He allowed just one run on five hits, struck out six and walked two. He faced 19 batters. Tyler Beck, Evan Lee, and Malvin Pena combined to go three scoreless innings allowing two hits… Lucas Knowles allowed one run on two hits… Jack Sinclair allowed the placed runner to score in the tenth inning.

With the Gavel

  • The Senators managed just five hits… Robert Hassell III had two of them… James Wood had an RBI double.

Filibusters

The Senators stranded nine runners, seven in scoring position and went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position… Brady Lindsly caught his 15th base runner trying to steal which leads the league.
